These terms govern your use of Shep, a service of BARA Estates LLC, the software service that helps churches care for and communicate with their people. By using Shep, you agree to these terms.
Use of the service
Churches and their authorized administrators may use Shep to manage members and send communications to people who have consented to receive them. You agree to use Shep lawfully, to send only messages you are permitted to send, and to honor opt-out requests promptly.
Text messaging (SMS) terms
- Program description. Churches use Shep to send transactional and relational messages such as serving reminders, schedule confirmations, and care check-ins.
- Opt-in. Messages are sent only to people who have given prior consent to the church.
- Message frequency. Frequency varies based on a church's activity.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Opt-out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help.
- Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Shep is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shep is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Shep after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
